One person. One mission.
Better analytics for everyone.
Datakool is built and run by a single developer who believes the web deserves analytics that are simple, fun, and respectful of privacy.
Victor Chanet
I'm a software developer and entrepreneur. I build web apps, game engines, and Unreal Engine plugins. I started Datakool because I was tired of bloated, privacy-invasive analytics tools. I wanted something I'd actually enjoy using — so I built it.
Why I built Datakool
The short answer: frustration. The long answer:
Google Analytics is overkill
90% of website owners need to know: how many visitors, where they come from, which pages are popular. GA gives you 500 reports and a learning curve that takes weeks.
Privacy shouldn't be hard
I hated adding cookie banners. I hated the guilt of tracking people. I wanted analytics that work without compromising anyone's privacy.
So I built something better
A single dashboard with everything you need. Under 1KB script. Zero cookies. Privacy by design. Analytics that are actually fun to check.
And priced it fairly
100k pageviews for $9/mo. No enterprise sales team. No "contact us for pricing." Just transparent, honest pricing that anyone can afford.
What I care about
These aren't marketing fluff. I actually live by them.
Privacy is non-negotiable
No cookies. No personal data. No cross-site tracking. Ever. Your visitors deserve respect.
Simplicity wins
If it takes more than 5 seconds to understand, it's too complicated. I obsess over making complex things feel simple.
Speed matters
Under 1KB script. Your site stays fast. Performance is a feature, not an afterthought.
Stay indie
No VC money. No investors. Datakool is funded by customers and built by one person. That's the plan.
Radical transparency
I tell you exactly what I collect, how I use it, and why. No fine print. No hidden terms.
Quality over quantity
I'd rather do a few things really well than everything poorly. Every feature earns its place.
